At 0515, G String welcomed the PAX to the F3, stating they found themselves at Mount Olympus. G String stated that F3 stands for fitness, followship, and faith. He covered 5 core principles – it’s free, open to all men, always outside, it’s led in a rotating fashion, and it ends in a circle of trust. He told them that we leave no man behind and no man where we found him. G String stated the Mission Statement of F3 – to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership. He claimed to not be a professional and asked that PAX modify as necessary. He asked if there were any FNG’s and there were none.

G String asked that everyone grab their coupon and head to the back/west side of the school. There they found about 80 feet of Christmas lights laid in a straight line in the grass.

The group repeated this about 3 times until G String called them to the next stop at the south side of the school. Each PAX drew a piece of paper out of G String’s elf hat. The paper had a number of 1-12 with the exercise. The PAX took turns and sang their part of the 12 days of Christmas, each day representing a rep count of the listed exercise.

It was 0600, and the group had just finished the last cycle. G String asked Maymie to sing “back to the flags” instead of “up the hill”.

We were running late already so I kept it brief. I just reminded everyone that Christmas was only 12 days away (hence the 12 days of Christmas theme). With this, I am hopeful that everyone is not too wrapped up into the materialistic part of Christmas. That’s not what it’s about. It’s about spending quality time with those we love. It’s a fine line of not being a Grinch and knowing the limits to take the spirit. I also reminded everyone that it’s okay to be excited for Christmas because we all have our own reasons; however, we need to realize that there are many people who are preparing for their first Christmas without the lost child, a parent who’s passed, a close friend who was taken too early… think and pray for those going into the holiday.
