Title: “Be Gentle With Yourself”
Total PAX: (4)
Q: G String
Prerun: G String, Firewalker, & Low Flow
At 0515, G String welcomed the PAX to the F3, stating they found themselves at the Cathouse. G String stated that F3 stands for fitness, followship, and faith. He covered 5 core principles – it’s free, open to all men, always outside, it’s led in a rotating fashion, and it ends in a circle of trust. He told them that we leave no man behind and no man where we found him. G String stated the Mission Statement of F3 – to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership. He claimed to not be a professional and asked that PAX modify as necessary. He asked if there were any FNG’s and there were none.
Warm a Rama:
We just ran about a mile to Gilder Elementary School where G String had set up four cones in a square. There were two exercises listed at each cone, each with (50) reps. Once completed, they’d migrate to another cone. Firewalker had informed the group that the planet Venus was in sight that morning so we faced Venus during our mode of transportation between cones. After one lap around the square, it was (50) pullups and then back to the square. The goal was to make it around twice so as to complete both exercises at each cone. G String started the Halloween themed playlist on his non-Premium Spotify and they were off.
Round 1:
Bear crawl to the first cone.
(50) knee tucks
Side crawl to the second cone.
(50) LBC’s
Crawl bear to the third cone.
(50) Carolina Drydocks
Side crawl to the last cone.
(50) Side lunges.
(50) Pullups.
Round 2:
Bear crawl to the first cone.
(50) Freddy Mercuries.
Side crawl to the second cone.
(50) Merkins
Crawl bear to the third cone.
(50) Four dudes and a merkin (Maverick Merkins)
Side crawl to the last cone.
(50) Jump Squats
(50) Pullups.
They completed the second round when G String called ‘Omaha’ with about 12 minutes till 6 am so that there was enough time to run the mile back to the flags.

I discussed with the group my struggle with making smart goals when it comes to work, but shared a few successes I had this year with some goals I set with F3. When we don’t meet our goals, we shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves. I read a phrase from a book that I’m reading called “Resisting Happiness” that went something like “Be gentle with yourself. God wants us to persevere and thrive through our struggles rather than beat ourselves up when we have downfalls.” The cool thing about reaching our goals and staying with them is once they’re achieved, we get a little more confident and more wins start coming. Several small wins will lead to big wins. I spun this to the opposite mindset and said the same goes for small losses or little mistakes. They too can lead to big mistakes, so don’t get lazy!
Stranglehold and G String took home the Dux Esto bands. Stranglehold was happy to have gotten the orange one, and also rather appalled as he was the only one who didn’t prerun.
New site Q made onsite coffee – what a treat!
G String prayed us out.
Aye!
