It’s a Weezer-themed beatdown at Beverly Hills, because that’s where I want to be. Two HIM murphed, one pre-ran, one-rucked, and all 5 hit it hard for the beatdown. “Africa” the cover was playing for HIM as they walked up! Not Toto, but Weezer!

WARM-A-RAMA (3 minutes):

THE THANG (33 to 35 minutes): “El Scorcho Leg Inferno”

Structure: 3 circuits, each ~10-11 minutes with some rest in between circuits. Each circuit has 4 leg-focused exercises plus a run at the end. Used a timer to count up to time for each exercise and called out halfway and 15 seconds remaining.

Circuit 1: “My Name Is Jonas” Power Legs (10 min)

Music: “My Name Is Jonas”; “Say it Aint So”; “Pink Triangle”;

Exercises:

  1. Jonas Jump Squats (2 min): Explosive squats with jump.
  2. Pink Triangle Pistol Squats (1.5 min per leg = 3 min): Single-leg squats.
  3. Undone (The Sweater Song) Calf Raises (2 min)
  4. Omaha Park Dash (2 min): Sprint ~100 yards out and then back along lagoon path; follow the cones.

Circuit 2: “El Scorcho” Endurance Burn (10 min)

Music: “Undone – Sweater Song”; “El Scorcho”

Exercises:

  1. Say It Ain’t So Sumo Squats (2 min)
  2. El Scorcho Walking Lunges (2 min)
  3. Only in Dreams You Sit (2 min): Al Gore
  4. Hanscom Hill Climb (2 min): Run/power-walk up hill
    Mosey back (1 min)

Circuit 3: “Island in the Sun” Speed & Stability (11 min)

Music: “Island in the Sun”; “Dope Nose”; “Beverly Hills”

Exercises:  

  1. Island in the Sun Speed Skaters (2 min): Apollo Onos
  2. Dope Nose Duck Walks (2 min): Low squat walk like wrestling practice   
  3. Buddy Holly Snidely Squats (2 min): Fast paced if you can do it
  4. Weezer Weave Sprint (2.5 min): Sprint ~100m, weave around cones (and pick them up)

6MOM (4 minutes):

Music: “Pork and Beans”; “Photograph” (my favorite Weezer song); “Thank God for Girls”

  1. Seated Hamstring Stretch (30 sec): One leg extended, reach for toes, switch.  
  2. Butterfly Stretch (20 sec) 
  3. Can Opener Stretch (30 sec per side)
  4. Calf Stretch via Downward Dog (15 sec per side)
  5. Standing Hamstring Stretch (20 sec)
  6. Chest Stretch w/ arms behind back (20 sec)
  7. American Hammers Rancid Style – 5 people total
