What a beautiful morning! The QIC rolled up at 0455 to pre-ruck, followed by Black Lung. We went down to the track and Black Lung decided that today was so nice that he was going to do sprints… Snidely said “no thank you” and just kept on rucking. Knoxville showed up a bit later with a coupon and did his own pre-workout. Before we knew it, it was time to party!
WARM-O-RAMA (0532)
We decided the flag plant was good enough for warmups… it was a good thing too because Safe Ride rolled in late and was able to join us just in the nick of time.

PRE-THANG (0535) – Buy in to the workout
The “Four Corner Merkin Party”
Moseyed to Football Field, and started this party at the NW corner of the football field.
- At Corner 1 of the football field we completed 10 Merkins + 10 SSH (IC). Linkin Park was kickin’ and we were getting sweaty!
- We moseyed CCW to Corner 2 and completed 20 Merkins + 20 SSH (IC). Black Lung heard “Break Stuff” by Limp Bizkit for the first time and we all teased him about it.
- We moseyed onto Corner 3 and completed 30 Merkins + 30 SSH (IC). Now it’s getting fun!.
- The Pax saw the pattern. We finally moseyed to Corner 4 and completed 40 Merkins + 40 SSH (IC). What a party!! 100 merkins and 200 SSHs in total, and one lap around the track. That’s what I am talking about!!
That party was over and we had to find a new one to crash. So, we went to the center of the football field, and started a Mosh Pit.
THE THANG (0545) – Time to party again!
With the Mosh Pit, the group counted off into 2s. That was a challenge. A lot of HIM really just want to count to 3 and couldn’t help themselves. After counting off, we formed two circles – 1s on the outside and 2s on the inside. The outside circle went counter clockwise and performed a method of travel exercise while the inside circle performed a traditional exercise. The work was performed Tabata-style at 50 seconds on with 10 seconds of time to rest and then pancake positions with each group taking turns on the inside and outside of the circle. There were 20 rounds in total and exercises were performed OYO, AMRAP.

The PAX we’re done, but they had fun. The biggest concern after this party was beating The Coop 🐔 to coffeteria. Well done!
