“No Mercy Miles, But definitely Grace”

Q: Ditty

6 PAX: Low-Flow, KOA, ICB, Black Tuesday, Farva, & Ditty

Welcome: The Mission Statement, Five Core Principles, Credo, and Disclaimer. No FNGs. ☹ (Called out as the PAX gathered themselves from their pre-run and prepped for a rainy beating. Even as we adapt to our situations and with no FNGs, it is very important to continue those traditions that make us F3Omaha!)

Warm-o-rama: 15 Big Ones, 15 Tappy Taps

The Thang: “No Mercy Mile” as found in the Exicon. Start on the 1st corner of the track, Bear Crawl to corner 2, sprint 50 yards, 25 Merkins, sprint to corner 3, Lunge to corner 4, sprint 50 yards, 25 Squats, sprint to corner 1. Rinse and Repeat x3. Many modifications on the corners as 100 yards of anything can be rough. Mucho mumblechatter on everything from form to Superbowl, to how the urban dictionary should be avoided (#Schrute.)

6MOM: 15 Imperial Walkers, 15 Rockettes

Name-o-rama.

Announcements: Freed to Bleed on Friday, Gradoville Event on Thursday (I believe you can bid even if you can’t make the event.)

Prayers & Praises: Laura (KOA’s friend) passed in an accident, Lily’s passing (Yogi & Rowdy’s sister? Sorry,) Ditty’s Therapy today.

COT: I watched Netflix’s Cobra Kai last year (not an endorsement.) (Spoilers!) The bad guy (who is given heart) teams up with the good guy (who’s flaws are shown) to make one dojo. Johnny’s (bad guy) style, being trained by Cobra Kai, is to show no mercy. Daniel’s (good guy) style, being trained by Mr. Miyagi (not out Miyagi,) is more like Judo (The Passive Way.) When “No Mercy” meets grace, we learn to have no mercy for the excuses we make for ourselves, no mercy for indifference & laziness. And, we learn to have grace for our mistakes, shortcomings, and outright selfish rebellions. We also apply this to those around us. We don’t forget our pasts, we just don’t judge. At the same time, we do set goals and press forward in our pursuit of excellence. And, we try to take those around us forward with us, picking up the six.
