Scoober showed up 10 minutes before the beatdown to start setting up, Oompa and Lucky Charms saw him and asked if he needed help setting up. He politely declined and started laying out the winkies. Lucky found a princess doll and used it to weigh down one of the winkies. Scoober decided to break out the speaker even though he failed to put a special mixtape together.

ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRAYER REQUESTS
- Doppler made a heartbreaking announcement that he just got orders that would relocate him to Louisiana away from his kids for the next four years.
- Patton indicated that a Douglas county version of Sarpy’s Fairy Nectar (2nd F) would be starting up and that D3 (Divorced Dudes and Drinks) would be meeting more regularly and that anyone was welcome.
COT
My COT today was to talk about the most important thing I’ve learned in F3.
At my core, I’m a bleeding heart liberal. Pre-F3, I had fallen into the team/tribe mentality that social media and society, these days really prop up. I thought everyone on the right was either stupid or didn’t care about people or the planet. I’ll admit that all the American flags and patriotism were a tough hurdle for me to overcome just to show up.
I started F3 for the first F as most men do. I wanted to get in shape to play ultimate this summer (that went well until my knee decided it had other plans) but through the 2nd F, I was reminded of an important lesson. We’re all just people, we are not our political views. If it wasn’t for F3 I would never ever have had some of the friendly conversations with some people in F3. By having those conversations, I’ve learned a lot of things about a lot of people. I’ve been reminded that those with differing views deserve as much respect and dignity as those with similar views and that being on the opposite side of the political spectrum doesn’t have to mean that we can’t have productive respectful conversations.
I forgot to say this during the COT, but I’d be interested to see what this country/world could be if everyone (especially politicians) took the opportunity to interact with people with differing views without talking about politics. I wonder if that could change their perspective and lead to truly respectful and potentially productive conversations.
Scoober called Doppler to the middle of the circle and the PAX did a group hug (some call it a ball of man) and prayed for comfort and peace for Doppler and his kids.
Thanks to Doll Face for having me on the Q.
YHC,
Scoober.
