I arrived at 5:14 am to enjoy the morning. (I woke at 3:14 am and struggled to go back to sleep). As I arrived
at the bottom of the hill leading to the site, I encountered 2 guys beginning the ascent to the site at breakneck
speed. You guessed it – Frosty and Grease Fire.
At 5:30 am, I welcomed the grizzled group of PAX with the mission statement, 5 core principles, asked about
FNGs and reminded them that I am a semi-professional. I let them know I am not a fan of cold so let’s get
going.
We proceeded to take a quick jog across the road for Warm- A – Rama
15 Tappy taps
Hamstring/hip flexor stretching
For the Pre-Thang (or the get warm), we jogged to the hill to the south of the school. We then proceeded to
run the hill 5x as a group doing 10 Merkins at the top.
Thang:
We returned to the school parking lot and broke in to one group of three and one of 4. We then held a plank
at the east end of the lot, a push group ran and the other Pax performed Merkins until relieved. We gathered
at the end and counted 5 Merkins each before Omaha was called at 6:01 and we returned to the flags to
stretch and cool down. A few comments were made regarding cold hands.
6:07 – Name-a-Rama – just for future reference there is a hole by the pole.
Announcements:.
Several 2 nd opportunities – check Slack
Several prayer requests for PAX members and their families including Frosty’s mom and Grease Fire’s
grandmother.
Tin Cup has his respect Q Friday at Spike.
COT:
I have found the best way to keep the sad clown at bay is to Q a workout. The anticipation and the rush is
tough to beat. The texts that you receive before and after are always uplifting. Make sure you are sending
the texts you like to receive!
6:14: Prayer
What a great day!
