Hey, y’all… I love you.
I know, it can be “taboo” to say I love you to another man, but understand love means more than just romantic intimacy. By saying “I love you” helps promote growth and acceleration.
Think about it, when someone says “I love you,” you are given the opportunity to connect and reflect with another individual. By doing this, you are creating and establishing a connectedness between two individuals that could translate to establishing a larger and connected community. That is what F3 is, a connected community of men bound together by the 3 F’s… You bet your bottom dollar we should say “I love you” to each other because we are promoting each other success in growth and acceleration.
In addition, think about how often people are not told “I love you.” Y’all, we are all the same… Yes, different perspectives, and different life experiences, but ultimately, we are the same. We are humans, and as humans, we need to make sure we SEE each other and support each other. By reaching out to a friend, a brother, or even a friend you don’t really talk to as often because of life journeys, but by reaching out to a friend and saying “Hey man, I love you” gives that individual validation that they exist and affirmation they are a human being with feelings and emotions.
The word LOVE is completely embedded into our culture which innately will make someone stop and ponder, “You love me? What? Why? That’s a substantial word to say… Odd.” When this happens, I like to follow up with a big ole bear hug (of course, determine if a hug would be appropriate) but there is something about a human touch that helps us understand the genuine and sincerity when someone says “I love you.” Please, remember that. We all have our own challenges in life, but dont forget we all function the same… we eat, we drink, we breathe, we sleep, we have sex, we are a social species and social species thrive on love and connectedness.
