The mission of the Chris Gradoville Community Leader Scholarship is the invigoration of education and leadership skill development for young men. The scholarship awards between $500-$5,000 per year to currently enrolled high school seniors and/or college students who have demonstrated the values of F3, including giving selflessly of themselves to improve their communities.
F3 stands for fitness, fellowship, and faith. While it was originally created in 2011 in Charlotte, NC, we launched in Omaha in 2018. Our mission is to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership. In our 2nd year of offering this scholarship, we are honoring a brother of ours that we lost in 2021. Chris Gradoville was born and raised in South Omaha and built a legacy on helping others while leading in his community. He is most known for coaching and mentoring young men in baseball, but also gave selflessly of his time to mentor young men through big brothers big sisters. He spent the last decade helping develop young athletes with their fitness, while continually growing his faith with God alongside his wife, Nikki. Chris embodied everything it means to be a high impact man and lead virtuously.
This scholarship will honor Chris’ legacy as we look to identify young men that are following in a similar path to what he was leading. This annual scholarship will be granted to a young man pursuing a post-secondary education that exemplifies the values and leadership skills Chris lived by. It first starts with the daily discipline of working on oneself. Secondly, they understand the importance of fellowship and pursue strong relationships in an effort to make each other better. Lastly, he believes in ‘living third,’ or putting the needs of others and their community before their own. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
