PAX: Stella, Tight Lip, McGavin, Barn Door

Q: Barn Door

GPS was my friend for this trip to the far East side of Omaha. (FYI – I’m known, at least by Mufasa, to not travel past 168th St for beatdowns). I arrived to the site early as usual in anticipation to see if anyone was going to show for a pre-run. If not, I’ll just mosey around the site to check it out. If someone does show, then let’s get after it. Stella showed up and was able to lead the way for a 2.6ish mile pre-run. It was a fun run since I’ve never been through those neighborhoods before.

We arrived back to the AO with one PAX waiting and shortly after one more showed up. At 5:30 we got after it with WAR in the parking lot.

WAR consisted of 15 IC each: SSH, Tappy Taps, Imperial Walkers, and Cherry Pickers. Then we headed for a 0.75ish mile mosey around the park behind the school.

The THANG

We partnered up for a 2 man grinder in the parking lot of the school.

Partner 1 moseyed for a loop around the parking lot while partner two worked on the list of exercises. With the small numbers it allowed both groups to stay together and get in some good quality 2nd F in as well.

  • 100 – Merkins
  • 150 – Squats
  • 200 – Big Boys
  • 150 – Bonnie Blairs
  • 100 – Carolina Dry Docks

“Omaha” was called after we made our way through the entire workout list. We proceeded into Mary.

6MOM consisted of:

Station 4:

  • 20 IC Freddy Mercury
  • 15 IC Gas Pumpers
  • 3 rounds of Rancid style American Hammers

Announcements:

  • New West O sites starting up soon.

Prayers:

  • No prayers shared this week.

Circle of Trust:

Public survey shows that those held in highest esteem by most people are neither the great artists nor the great scientists, neither the greatest statesmen nor the great sports figures, but those who master a hard lot with their heads held high.

Keep this in mind as you go about your days. Remember, your kids, your family, your friends, your neighbor are all watching you as you work through life. Always keep your head held high and push through any adversity you are facing to be that inspiration.

Aye!
