The Q kicked off festivities promptly at 5:30. First off the Q asked if there were any FNG’s and stated that none of what was about to happen today was professional so please modify as necessary. After working through those items Q went on to state that today was a special day as today is Ketchup’s last day as Site Q as he is passing the flag off to Sweet Sweet. Q took time to acknowledge the former Site Q’s who were in attendance – Tonight Show, Thomas and Mufasa. There were a few things we were going to do to pay homage to their service to F3 and their leadership at the site. First off – Thomas – The Train Whistle rule is in play…at any point anyone hears a train whistle…5 burpees. Also…the toughest little engine award will be awarded to the hardest working PAX member at the end of the morning. Second…Mufasa is going to lead us through the intro:
Q passed off leadership to the pretty kitty where he stated the mission statement, five core principles, disclaimer and credo…all while doing 50 burpees. After that…we moseyed to the circle for a little warmarama:
Partner up…make eye contact and do 10 Yodel Thrusts
After that we moseyed to the parking lot for a quick warm up. PAX Lined up along the west curb where we did intervals with a partner. One partner ran to the other side of the lot, did 5 burpees and ran back while the other partner stayed and did exercises:
- Merkins
- Sqauts
- Big Boys
Rinsed and repeated until flacid Omaha was called.
After Flaccid Omaha was called Sweet Sweet Took over and we did the following:
We numbered off into 3s and ran to 3 separate areas of the Kingdom. Group 1 was the push group and started over at the picnic tables with 20 IC step ups, Dips, and Derkins. Two rounds of that and run to push group 2. They were over in the grassy area by the flags doing a 20 I/C plank, plank jacks, mountain climbers, and gas pumpers. Once pushed we ran to the Bathroom area for some wall work. 20 I/C Donkey kicks, Chicken peckers, and Wall sit. Repeat until Omaha called.
At 605 Omaha was called and we all reconvened at the flags for Mary where we did 6 inches called out by Brad Pitt which was followed up by American Hammer’s Rancid Style…and we were done.

For the COT Ketchup Started:
First off – I want to thank everyone that has come out to post at this site over the past year and more gratefully…I want to thank those that have chosen to lead out here as well. F3 relies on new men stepping up to lead and you all have answered the call. I am a firm believer that we are where we are supposed to be when we are supposed to be there and there was a reason why you all were at the Kingdom over the past year. We have had some weird mornings out here…haven’t we fridge…and the memories of the past year are ones that are going to stick with me for a long time. So thank you.
Now moving on to the man of the hour, when I first got the flags for the site, I have to admit there was pride and ego involved. I had visions that the site was going to be what it was when I started almost three years ago and these feelings started to creep in along the lines of look what I did…Look what I have accomplished. And I quickly learned that the site is not what it was when I started…and I was a fool for thinking that it would be. For growth to happen things can’t stay the same and things can’t be what they were three years ago and these feelings that these men were showing up because I was the Site Q very quickly evaporated. Those men didn’t come for me. They weren’t there for Ketchup. They were there for all of the guys around them and for the guys that were leading each morning. We as Site Q’s are Shepherds. We tend to the site to make sure it is taken care and open for all men to be who they are. We help new men step up and guys that have fallen off get back up. Cause the truth is I could have been hit by a little Debbie bus at any point in the last year and F3Omaha would have continued…Wild Kindgom would have continued and that is an important lesson to keep in mind. So when I started to think about who would be a great candidate to take over this site…I started to look for PAX members that embodied Selfless Leadership…whose existence was truly built around service to something greater than himself someone who already knows the lesson I had to learn over a few months and I very quickly arrived at Sweet Sweet.
For those of you that don’t know, Sweet Sweet came to F3 under just terrible circumstances and that was the loss Nugent. They were great friends all through school and unfortunately it was after that tragedy of him passing away…before most of us were given the opportunity to meet him. And to take something Tater said something to me last night that really struck a chord…I am not sure if I am more grateful SS found F3…or that F3 found SS…because we needed him…I think more than he needed us.
Like I said, this organization relies on people who want to lead…Sweet Sweet has been thrust into leadership…(under protest…luckily Sparty is a bully)…more than he ever wanted to be and every single time he has been asked he has risen to the occasion regardless of what it is or what the ask is. I asked him last week…when it get to be too much…and he is overwhelmed…why he just doesn’t say no…and his answer was…because it needs to be done…and if the situation was reversed…I know Nugent would do the same for me. I have messed up a lot in my life…but picking SS to take this mantle for the next year is not one of those times.
I encourage all of you…if you don’t know SS…come talk to him…just know that while may come across as quiet and reserved…if you ask him questions…he won’t shut the fuck up. But…once he gets going…you listen…and you can’t help but get drawn into what he saying and who he is a person.
I am honored to pass this on to you…youre going to great…I love you man!!
Sweet Sweet enjoyed a big hug from Ketchup and said the following:
Thank you for everyone coming out and supporting this site now and in the future. Big shout out to Ketchup for asking me to lead this Tuesday morning party for the next year. Also, a thank you to the former site Qs and other F3 leaders for growing and developing this organization better and better each day.
By asking me to lead this site, it was the next step in my evolution. I told Ketchup last week that I don’t usually volunteer but am up for whatever if help is needed or the opportunity arises. Doing things you don’t want to do and getting out of your comfort zone can be very beneficial in growing as a person. Like I said last year at the Brick Builder fundraiser night… Fuck your comfort zone! I want this site to be very inclusive that welcomes guys from all over the city. Don’t get stuck in your normal spot every week all year long. Don’t let this be the only time you come to this site all year. I mentioned that coffee is at Vidlaks café, and it makes me feel like I am in a mafia movie or something when I am there. I love it. I offered to buy anyone that leads the site a coffee and cinnamon roll from there if that helps sweeten the thought of Q’ing. I will be here with Nugent’s spirit each Tuesday for Preruns, beat downs, and coffee as well as to be a good listener or storyteller for anyone that wants to join.
Small group or big group, this site will be ready for you.
The group circled up around me and Ketchup prayed us out. Great morning! Photos ensued then went to coffee. At coffee, Nugent’s dad “Full Count” showed up and brought the Nugent flag he received at the Nugent memorial run earlier this month. I had invited him to the workout but he showed up for coffee instead and gave me the flag. No better person to get the flag from and a great finish to the Flag pass morning.
