Curve Ball – Chernobyl

Weather: 45F and cool

4:45 Chernobyl & Sweet Roll met on site to prepare for the surprise to come. We set up for Steel Mill then started on the 2-mile route. Several PAX were present for a pre-pre a normal pre-run and the 2-mile pre-run.

5:30 Chernobyl welcomed the PAX to F3, stated what it stood for, delivered the mission statement and shared the core principles and credo. Then we started our run.

Chernobyl mentioned around every 3/4 of a mile we would change directions to keep us on our toes. We ended up running a short 2 mile loop down Lincoln Street, South in Harrison Street to near Trumble Park Elementary and then back to the shovel flags. The PAX thought we had another 2 miles left but then I steered them over to the Steel Mill. We were greeted with a warm smile from Sweet Roll who is always welcoming to new guys at his Beatdown. He was so excited he offered his PAX members to come with me as tribute. The swap happened seemlesy. I brought the steel mill OAX on our journey around the duck pond a few times for roughly 1.5 miles before returning back to the shovel flags for Name-O-Rama.

6:10 NameORama / COT

Sweet Roll & I made two overlapping NameORama circles, ending with ourselves. Then Sweet Roll dove into his COT “Human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude of mind.” Life isn’t always roses and sweet tea and when life throws you a curveball, knock that shit out of the park!
