Two Miles of Suck – Chernobyl

Weather: Roughly 42F, low winds

PAX(6): Fun Dip, Double Dip, Boss Hog, KOA, Blsck Tuesday, Chernobyl (Q)

4:45 – The Dip brothers and Boss Hog didn’t get the memo and decided to go out for a pre run. They didn’t listen to me…they thought they’d be fine. We found out later they were wrong.

5:15 Chernobyl welcomed all the PAX to F3, stating the 5 core principles, mission statement and credo. We then mozied to the track with our lovely coupons for Warm-O-Rama which included Chanooks, Swimmer Stretch, SSHs, and Tappy Taps.

5:23 Thang

We split into 2 groups of 3. The Beatdown included running two miles with the coupon overhead…the coupon couldn’t touch the ground the entire Beatdown. Each PAX would switch off a rifle carry run roughly every 1/4 lap. After each lap each group would rotate through the following exercises:

Lap 1: 20 Thrusters / AMRAP Merkins

Lap 2: 20 Big Boys w Coupon / LBCs

Lap 3: 20 Curls / Alternating Shoulder Taps

Lap 4: 20 Globlet Squats / Air Squats

Lap 5: 15 Were not Worthies / Cherry Pickers

Lap 6: 15 Hammers w Coupon IC / Penguin Touches

Lap 7: 15 Tricep Extension w Coupon / Carolina Dry Docks

Lap 8: 15 Jump Squats w Coupon / Jonny Dramas

We ran out of time for my post-thang. Maybe next time. Boss Hog mentioned several times he wanted to share some Merlot and Double Dip was nursing his IT band towards the end. KOA was very sore the next day, but Fun Dip said he was ready for me to come back and bring the pain.

5:55 Name-O-Rama / COT

Chernobyl shared his COT about this quote: “Stop running away from things behind you and start running towards that what’s in front of you” this was fitting considering the Beatdown we just endured. Drop the baggage we have and find a way to concentrate on the people and goals in our lives that we strive for and those that make us better.
