11/22/2022 – The Colosseum – Humble Gratitude

PAX: Splinter, Black Lung, Ice T, Tenderfoot, Angry Note, Smash Mouth, Paramount, Stella, Honey Maid.

QIC: Invictus

Weather: 28 deg, not a lot of wind.

This was my first time Q-ing at the Colosseum. I like stadium AO’s since they offer to much variety for workouts and I was excited to take the PAX
through a Thanksgiving meal related beatdown.

0500 – Pre Run – Honey Maid and Black Lung headed out along the normal route, while YHC set up cones and did a few laps on the track. I like to stay
close for when the PAX start showing up.

0530 – QIC kicked off the morning with the description of F3 – Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith.
Five Core Principles – Free, Open to ALL Men, Always Outside, Lead in a rotating fashion, and Ends in a Circle of Trust.
Credo – Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him.
The Mission of F3 is to Plant, Grow, and Serve small workouts groups for the reinvigoration of male community leadership.
There were no FNG’s present, nonetheless, QIC noted he was not a fitness professional so the PAX should modify the workout as needed.

Warm-o-rama – Middle of the Field

15 SSH IC, 15 High Knees IC, 15 Mountain Climnbers, 15 Imperial Walkers. 10 Big Ones.

Pre-Thang: Gravy Mile – around the track.
1 lap – 25 Dips on the benches – we did this 4 times. It was named the Gravy Mile since gravy is one of the best dipping sauces in the world.

The Thang: 3-man Grinder – end zone to end zone. 1 PAX start at each station and the other runs to push.

North End Zone – Turkey Legs and Mashed Potato Merkins.
Merkins, Monkey Humpers, Werkins, Jump Squats, Ranger Merkins, Bonnie Blairs, Chuck Norris Merkins, Alternating Lunges

South End Zone – Cranberry Core and Cardio Casserole.
LBC’s, Mountain Climbers, Freddies, Plank Jacks, Flutter Kicks, Alt Shoulder Taps, Big Boys, High Knees

OMAHA called at 0605.

MARY: 2 rounds of Rancid style hammers. Recover.

Prayers for Tin Cup and Angry Note’s family.

YHC wanted to talk about more than just a cliche message on being thankful. Thankfully (lol), I remembered the time when Omaha went through the
huge power outtage the previous summer which put a record number of people in Omaha without power for a week or so. YHC’s house lost power that
Friday night and we had to scramble to get our food put in cold storage where possible. YHC was also home alone for most of Saturday with nothing
to do but watch the dog. I also had to take a few hours and go to the office to recharge a portable battery for some temporary power. finally, the
power line trucks came by the house Sunday afternoon and I was ecstatic to finally get power back. YHC then realized that getting power back after
2 days was hardly something to celebrate so candidly. I realized that there are people around the world that do not have the luxuries that I have
like constant power or running water (which we never lost). The final message was that we should all practice humility in conjunction with our gratitude.

YHc closed the morning out in prayer.
