HIM: 5 – Yodel, Obi Wan, Armando, T-Swift, T-Party

Q: Patchy Adams

PRE RUN- T-SWIFT and T-PARTY

5:30 Pre runners show up to meet Patchy Adams, Yodel, Obi wan and Armando. Where I went through what f3 is and that I called an audible for today’s workout as we are experiencing the morning cold rain. Pax then moseyed over to the pavilion to do warm up. We did tap taps, Red Bull Jax, small ones and some good old air breathing. Patchy then ordered the Pax to mosey over to the close football field where we all met at the field goal post as he explained the workout called 1st and 10 where Pax will start on the goal line run to the 10 yard line Perform 10 Merkins, 1 Burpee, run to the other field goal post. Recover jog back to the 20. Perform 9 Merkins, 2 Burpees, run to the other field goal post, recover jog to the 30. Repeat until all 100 yards and burpees have been completed. Plank/core exercise until remaining PAX complete.

As we started everyone was in a group but quickly became 2 groups of 2 with Patchy and Armando ahead of the rest. It was a mainly quiet beat down with some mumble chatter here and there as pax were dodging the mud spots on the field. As everyone came to a finish at the opposite goal post Patchy noticed we had some time to kill so he thought he’d give the pax a tour of his favorite part of elkhorn, DOWNTOWN. Where we ran there took a left up the hill and started our way back to the shovel flag. Upon arrival patchy grabbed his phone. Led the group in a group of intimate OH YEAHS where YODEL was in the middle doing some monkey humpers. As we got to 10 Patchy called it and we started the

Name O Rama: OBI WAN, YODEL, T-SWIFT, ARMANDO, T-PARTY AND PATCHY ADAMS (flexing his chest patch) Announcements and prayer requests followed.

OBI WAN gave the Nugent flag to YODEL for his great attitude and leadership. YODEL then presented Patchy with the new armory mini tank that he will be giving pax every time they Q at the Armory for the first time.

COT: Patchy started with the statement- The greatest version of you isn’t the “I can do anything version of you” or the version that feels like he can conquer the world. The greatest version of you is the version that is disciplined and sets personal parameters like I don’t drink that; I can’t smoke that. Or I will go to bed early so I can work out in the morning. Then stating he has a unique stat that he hasn’t drank since the last time Scott Frost was our football coach (Georgia Southern loss) And that he has been feeling great beginning the path of discipline and trying to achieve his personal goals of not drinking to become better fit for his life and upcoming races in 2023 and losing some weight in the process. Then ended in a Prayer. The pax had decided to not do coffee as everyone was very wet and had a busy morning of doing great things!
