6:00 – Bayside welcomed the PAX to F3.

It was reiterated that the PAX would get close to 3 miles today as mentioned in the pre-blast.  Before the beatdown started, Bayside and Schrute were able to convince Ditty to switch to The Pit instead of doing IPC, so it was now even more necessary to come through on that promise.    


Warm-a-rama was completed on the mosey.  From the flags, the PAX took off east towards where The Pit’s flags are normally placed, which is next to the duck pond parking lot.

Stop 2: Blondy Ruff Field – Cherry Pickers (x20 IC), Big Ones (x10 IC)

Stop 3:  The Duck Pond – Sun Gods (x10 IC, Both Directions), Chinooks (x10 IC)

The Thang:

The PAX counted off into 4 groups to complete a grinder around the duck pond.  At each station, there was a list of exercises (AMRAP) to be completed.  Group one, which started on the island, was the push group.

6:35 – AUDIBLE: After seeing the slow pace of completing a lap around the duck pond, Bayside decided to call an audible in an attempt to come through on the promise of 3 miles.  As a result, the PAX converged in the parking lot and took off on a mosey.  Stopping periodically, the following exercises were completed until the flags were reached.

Back at the flags, and coming in just over 3 miles, Sarpy Slammers were completed, followed by Name-o-Rama.

Announcements: Catamount Complex launch on Tuesday.  Today is the last day to donate to the Toy Drive. 

Prayer Requests: For Ditty’s friend and co-worker, Big Al, whose wife recently passed away.  For ICB’s father, who recently had hand surgery. 

COT: I originally had a completely different COT planned for today but decided to audible on it as well after attending the Gretna/Bellevue West football game last night.  For a quick summary, Gretna got up 14-0 quick, but Bell West then proceeded to score 37 unanswered points through the middle of the 4th quarter.  However, even though Gretna was now down 37-14, they kept fighting and ended up scoring 26 points in the final 7 minutes of the game to win 40-37.  As I was driving home with my kids, I mentioned that the game was a good example of never quitting.  Even though Gretna was down by what seemed like an insurmountable number of points, they kept fighting and ended up victorious.  We’ve all heard it before, but the game last night was a perfect example and a good reminder that we shouldn’t give up and need to keep fighting until that final whistle blows.  Gretna Still The Champs!  There were also some choice words about another football team that lost night, but we’ll keep those sacred to the COT.
