Schrute welcomed the PAX and shared F3’s Mission, The Three Fs, 5 Core Principles, F3’s Credo, Disclaimer and asking if there are any FNGs. No FNGs.

The Route (3.3 miles):

From the flags we headed North to Pacific Street

We then turned left, heading West on Pacific and stopped at Cancer Survivor’s Park for the following exercises:

  1. Bobby Hurleys 10
  2. Prime Time Merkins 15
  3. Heals to Heaven 15IC

We left the Park and went South on 105th Street

We stopped at the intersection before Center Street for the following exercises:

  1. Air Squats 15
  2. Carolina Dry Docks 15

A car was waiting for us so we proceeded on our route and I told the PAX we would make up the last exercise from the set at the next stop.

We then went East on Center Street and took the second left on S 101st Avenue.  We followed that until we hit a 4-way intersection, we then turned left on Rockbrook Rd.  We stopped at the circle before going on the Big Papio Trail and performed the following exercises:

  1. Johnny Dramas 10IC
  2. Ranger Merkins 15
  3. LBC’s 15IC
  4. Box Cutters 15IC

We followed the Big Papio Trail and found to our surprise a flooded pathway.  We stopped and deliberated what to do.  Do we turn back, knowing it is a long way back if we do?  Or do we pass?  Gunner made the decision to proceed through the water and all the PAX followed.  The water was ankle deep and we were all left with wet shoes and socks for the last mile back.  We then took a left to go over the bridge, heading Northwest.  We stayed on the trail until we got to One Pacific Place Park where we stopped for the following exercises:

  1. Squat Jumps 10
  2. Merkins 10
  3. Big Boys 10

We then got on S 103rd Street and followed that back to the shovel flags where we went straight into Name-O-Rama

The theme for today was “Find your something”.  Yes, we found some puddles that we had to go through!

Army four-star general Colin Powell wrote 13 rules for leadership in his 2012 memoir.

One of those rules I want to share today:

A lot of times we make decisions to appease others and not always for ourselves.  How often do you do that?  I know for me, it’s daily.  I am always putting others first.  But F3, this is for me.  This is the one thing I do for myself, and I do it when everyone else in my house in sleeping!

What else outside of F3 are you wavering on?  What is your something that is worth standing up for?  Reflect on that question.  I challenge you to find it and tackle it head on.
