11 PAX – Girl Dad, Doppler, Tater Tot, Echo, Flowers, Schrute, Gump, Hoo Ha, Grease Fire, Supe, Goose(VQ)

5:30 – Welcomed everyone, covered the 3 F’s, and went over the 5 principles.

Warm-a-rama – made our way over to the school for 10 sun gods each way, 15 tippy taps, and 20 SSH.

The Thang – we ran around the block at Werner Park as a group, starting at the school, and stopping at 15 stations. A speaker was carried to each station and whoever carried the speaker lead the exercise. 20 merkins, 20 air squats, 20 LBCs, 20 shoulder taps, 10 Apollo Onos, 20 box cutters, 20 seal claps, 20 jump tucks, 20 Freddie Mercury’s, 20 ranger merkins, 20 johnny Dramas, 20 flutter kicks, 20 dry docks, 20 monkey humpers, and 10 burpees finishing back where we started.

Post-Thang – once back at the school, waiting were 20 cherry pickers, 20 Bobby Hurleys, 20 WW1s, 10 cherry pickers, 10 hydronic squats, 10 grinders, and a round of Mary. Finally ending with Sarpy slammers


Announcements and prayer requests 

COT – This being my VQ it was a bit nerve racking. I was trying to come up with something and finally got somewhere.

1. I had to take advantage of what was infront of me. A lot of the times we see something wrong and think someone else will get around to it. Or, someone will ask us to do something and we’ll set it to the side instead getting after it right away. So when I was asked to Q initially I tried to side step it but eventually gave a yes. This put me out of my comfort zone, which leads me to my other point.

2. Get out of your comfort zone. Being comfortable is great, it’s nice, and it’s relaxing. But when you’re inside your comfort zone you’re not progressing. You’re stagnant and grounded, and to grow as a leader you need to push past that and get into the unknown.
