“The Horizon”

Pre-Thang: To the song “Safe and Sound”, the Pax did Freddy Mercurys and then switched to Mahktar N’ Diayes when they heard “Safe and Sound” lyrics, and switched back and forth.

Thang: Simple three-man grinder. One partner ran across the field to relieve his partner, who then ran back across the field to relieve his other partner. While partner ran, other partners did AMRAP of the following exercises:

Finished up with a relay race up and down the hill. Two pax members fell coming down, so did not attempt a second relay race.

COT: There’s a beautiful poem by the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano: “Utopia is on the horizon. I move two steps closer; it moves two steps further away. I walk another ten steps and the horizon runs ten steps further away. As much as I may walk, I’ll never reach it. So what’s the point of utopia? The point is this: to keep walking.”
