Friday, December 31, 2021 – The Armory – Ta Ha Zouka Park – 5:30 a.m.

5:00 a.m. There were a handful of pre-runners on this sharp 25 degree December morning while LPC set up lights and cones under the stars. 

5:30 a.m. 16 PAX conjured at the Shovel Flags. Pantyhose. LPC introduced himself and covered all the Mission Statement and 5 Core Principles, albeit some may have been out of order. There were no FNGs!

We Mosied over to the baseball field for some warmarama.  

Warmarama: 15 Side straddle hops (IC); 15 Tapy Taps, 15 Don Keotees, 20 Cherry Pickers   (IC); 10 sun gods IC ea side. 

Next up mosied to soccer field dropped off the turnout around light then back to shovel flags to to prepare for the beatdown.   

Thang: There was 1 turn around cone set up at the far goal fo the soccer field across the bridge about 150 meters away. Back at the awening where we had the countdown workout that sequenced like the 12 days of Christmast. We grouped up in teams of 4 to complete the beatdown. After each exercise you ran around the light and back and worked your way down the list of exercises in a compounding fashion.

Prayers: Waittime lost mother-in-law over the Holidays. Truly Mentor and Friend who passed away. 

COT: I had something planned prior to the beatdown but it went out the window during the workout. It has been awhile since my last post due to illness and surgery. Plague mentioned “man LPC you are out of shape!” It was a healthy reminder! A Guardrail if you will. This made my mind race and wander. It brought me to the idea of learning lessons. In life we have a tendency to deny and delay work or acceptance of lessons to get us on the right track. If we are listening to the clues and instances early we can make the necessary adjustments and be better for it. If we deny the clues and what the world and people are trying to tell us and delay the response necessary that lesson become much harder and more intense because the clues have to be major moments for us to notice. We may be too prideful or stubborn. The question is what are we not listening to right now that we should be? If we listen now we can save ourselves the pain and the blowout of waiting with minimal collateral damage.
