Circle of Trust
First, expression of gratitude to those who showed up. There were a number of HIMs from Sarpy who came north to attend. Dirty Bird expressed his gratitude to them for showing up. Also, he encouraged HIMs to get out of their local workout routine and explore the different sites to meet new guys.
Since it is Christmas season, I thought I would speak about something related to Christmas. It came up in a conversation with my parents, but it a topic I thought was fitting for today.
The idea of Blue Christmas and the idea that Christmas can be a time of pain for some who have lost someone close or having a rough year where Christmas isn’t as fun. If you lost someone you are close to or going through a divorce and separation of kids, happy Christmas memories may be causing pain and sorrow.
I encourage anyone who may know someone grieving or go through a hard time to reach out to them before the last-minute sprint of Christmas time and let them know they are in your thoughts and prayers and that you care for them.
The HIMs took a knee and prayed to close the COT.
