Wednesday, November 24th, 2021
Aldrich Elementary School
48 degrees, 54% humidity, and seasonably comfortable
PAX: Barbershop, Scouber, Cheap Seats, Doppler, Oompa, Obi-Wan, Barn Door, Saucepan, Mother Goose, Slow Clap, Roll Bar, Crop Duster
QIC: Super Fly
Super Fly welcomed the 12 other PAX the Top Rope. He stated the F3 Mission Statement, 5 Core Principals, Credo, and mentioned that he was not a professional, so modify as necessary.
We moseyed to the med center parking lot for Warm-O-Rama
16 – Flying Nuns (lunge w/ arm circles, alternating) – IC
21 – Cherry Pickers (IC)
16 – Big Ones (alternating IC)
21 – Tappy Taps (IC)
Then we chopped our feet (run in place) and sprawled, Top Rope style. Instead of sprawling, we used burpees on the parking lot concrete, to save the hips. We did 5 “sprawls”, before we split into 4 groups for the Thang.
Thang – 4 stations around the school
PAX split into 4 groups. Group #1 started at the shovel flags to complete 10 “Superflys” aka: Star Jumps, before a mosey to station #2. Group #2 started near the front door, using the rails for the first of 3 exercises; Dips, Step-Ups, and Derkins (all AMRAP), then they moved to station #3. Group #3 started in the SW corner of the school, using the berm for the first of 3 exercises; Alarm Clocks, Sweet Roll Burpees, and LBC’s (all AMRAP), then moved to station #4. Group #4 was at the playground with coupons. They completed 3 exercises which included Alternating Merkins, Curls and Squats (all AMRAP). We did throw out the question to the PAX; what the worst side dish you’ve ever had, at a Thanksgiving dinner. The groups rotated, once pushed by the group behind them
Omaha was called and a mosey back to the Shovel Flags, for some Mary and a Thanksgiving quiz question: When was the 1st Thanksgiving celebrated? The correct answer was mentioned by the PAX, which was 1621. We celebrated by completing 16 burpees and 21 side-straddle hops, as a group.
All PAX involved with American Hammers, Rancid Style, completing 13 reps in total.
Super Fly spoke about uncovering things that maybe small, but you can be thankful about, as we celebrate Thanksgiving. I am especially thankful for the men of F3, as they’ve continued to sharpen me and others within our community, each morning through their outreach. Even though I stepped away for some time, when I returned, those long-standing PAX were right there to welcome me back with open arms. For that, I am thankful!
PAX spoke about the Thankful Trot on Thursday morning, mentioning to check Slack and Twitter, as most locations will have pre-runs and beat downs for the holiday.
Superfly closed us out in prayer.
