5:30am
KOA welcomed the Pax to F3 – reminding them of the mission to Plant, Serve and Grow small workout groups for the re-invigoration of male community leadership. No FNGs today.

KOA went on to cover the 5 core principles of F3.

1) Open to ALL men.
2) Always Free.
3) Always held outdoors
4) Lead in a rotating fashion
5) Ends with a Circle of Trust (COT).

KOA shared the plan to run 22 minutes west on Lincoln Road and then turn around and run back. We were running by 5:31am.

5:31-6:10am
PAX moseyed West. Trench and Zorro as usual took the lead up the hill into a blustery 10mph wind. Thankfully at 22 minutes we turned around and had the wind at our back the rest of the run. Good fellowship was had by all as the mumblechatter continued for each small group of runners. PAX returned to the shovel flags faster in just around 20 minutes. Proud to see everyone push themselves. Most PAX members were able to record around 5 miles.

6:14am
PAX completed 1 round of Sarpy Slammers for Mary for a total of 13.

6:15am
We then went into Name-o-rama. The following member were present for a total of 13 PAX members: Borat, Animal House, Baby Shark, Feeny, Big One, Firewalker, Tator Tot, Trench, Zorro, Ear tag, Squeaky, Swiper, KOA.

Announcements/Prayer Requests:

COT

KOA began with a quote.

“Happiness does not occur by chance, it is a choice”
“Happiness does not occur by chance, it is a choice”

KOA reflected on how he has shared with the PAX over the last month some of the senseless fighting that has been going on in his family. He shared his frustration with the situation, and as usual, hopes that resolution is achieved as quickly as possible.

KOA’s father, however, posted on facebook the following quote…

“Once the glue of the family passes away, the holidays aren’t the same anymore…”

This was devastating to see for KOA, but it made him think about his original quote. Only we can choose how and when to be happy. The best part of F3 is that no matter how many bad things are happening to the PAX, we continually find ways to maintain baseline happiness as a whole. Many Q’s have spoken about filling buckets. When one PAX is struggling and needs their bucket filled, another PAX lifts them up and fills their bucket. This is the critical cycle we all require in our lives to maintain happiness.

Because happiness is a choice, please find ways to fill others buckets but also don’t be afraid to reach out when you need your bucket filled. Everyone deserves to be happy.

We ended with a prayer to Sky Q.

KOA…Aye.
