October 27, 2021 // AO: Paradise Island // Paradise Bakery // 54 degrees with high probability of rain

The Qic had plans to try a different path at Paradise Island today. He was not sure how it would go because he is not familiar with some of the neighborhoods and trails that go around the regency neighborhood. As a result of the nervousness, he arrived at 450am to drive the route and make sure he did not get lost on the way around. The other thing the Qic was concerned with was making sure he put this out on the pre-blast because so many men who post at Paradise know the traditional route around regency lake. This provides some comfortability for the PAX.

PAX: (10) FDIC, Slow Pitch, Side Dish, Splinter….Cell, Sparty, Landsbury, LPC, Cheap Seats, Vandelay, Paramount

The PAX was promptly welcomed at 515am by the Qic with the F3 mission statement, core principles, the disclaimer, and the creedo. No FNGs were present.

The PAX moseyed to the US Bank parking lot for warm-a-rama

The PAX took off to the south to the grass field on the corner of Regency Parkway and Pacific Street for the first pain station:

  • Groiners 15
  • Merkins 15
  • Squats 15

After a 5 count, rinse and repeat doing 10 reps of each.

Continue on the run across Pacific following the road around to the Northeast. Prior to crossing back over Pacific, the PAX stopped for pain station number 2.

  • Groiners 15
  • Merkins 15
  • Squats 15

After a 5 count, rinse and repeat doing 10 reps of each.

The PAX continued on the mosey across Pacific and stayed on the sidewalk parallel to Pacific street heading East. The PAX continued until they reached the walking trail around 100th street that heads north back into the Regency neighborhood. They then continued on Fieldcrest Dr. until they reached Regency Park where the PAX stopped for the final pain station. As the PAX reached this stopping point the thunder and lightning began. There was one bolt of lightning that scared the Qic and at this point he realized he needed to get the PAX back to the shovel flags quickly. He modified the pain station and quickly told the PAX it’s time to head to the shovel flags.

  • 5 Burpees

The PAX moseyed back to the shovel flags.

  • American Hammers Rancid Style 11 IC

Qic adjusted at this point due to the amount of rain coming down. Name-a-rama was conducted under an awning outside Paradise Bakery. The rain kept coming down harder so the PAX continued inside.

Be comfortable with failure. There are lessons to be learned in failure. Successful people have failed. They have taken lessons from failure. You have to take your shot and move outside your comfort zone. Failure helps us to recognize areas we need to improve or evolve. Failure is not a negative, so stop viewing it that way. As Will Smith said, “Fail early, Fail often, Fail forward.”

Aye!
