“Pick up that 6”
14 PAX: Ear Tag, Squeaky Clean, Diddy, Hagus, KOA, Borat, Skidz, Blue, Maaco, Ferdinand, Zorro, Mo-Town, Truck Stop, Schrute
5:00am Pre-Runners—KOA, Ferdinand, Schrute
5:30am Schrute welcomed the Pax to F3 – reminding them of the mission to Plant, Serve and Grow small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership. No FNGs today,
Schrute then covered the 5 core principles of F3. 1) Open to ALL men. 2. Always Free. 3) Always held outdoors, 4) Lead in a rotating fashion and 5) Ends with a Circle of Trust (COT).
Schrute informs the group: I am not a professional, you are here voluntarily, participating at your own risk.
Run 1 mile loop around Halleck Park Rd, back to the parking lot, pick up the 6 every time around you finish the loop. Runners completed 3 laps, always picking up the 6!
Schrute called Omaha at 6:05am
PAX circled up where they performed 28 Sarpy Slammers, Rancid style.
Name-o-rama. See above.
Why do we pick up the 6? We do it because we are brothers, we are there for each other and we are a team. We are each at different areas in our fitness journey.
In life, we are very much on different journeys and paths. You don’t know what someone else is going through. What personal problems they have at home. I found this quote I liked and wanted to share it with all of you.
“As we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way.” – Mary Anne Radmacher
Something as simple as showing interest in what someone is going through, listening to them can make them feel better. A small, simple act could be what they need to find their path forward, to see the light in front of them. In doing this we not only help create light for them, we light our path too.
