PAX- Kill Switch, Barber Shop, Yodel, Beaver, Wentworth, Wax On, Hog, OB1, Brad Pitt (Respect), LPC, Ketchup, Fine Print, Sasquash
It was National Punctuation Day and I made this very clear as I welcomed everyone to the gloom. Ketchup was abnormally excited about the holiday that he was yet aware of (I could tell he gave two shits).
After a quick jaunt around the football field, we made it to the cement area behind the goal post on the westside for Warm-o-Rama.
WARM-O-RAMA
- Side straddle hop (25)
- Tappy taps (25)
- Sungods front and back with calf raises (10 each way)
- Cherry pickers (20)
- Smurph jacks (35 in cadence) – this got the blood flowing!!
THE THANG
As I prepared for my workout, I liked the idea of some extra mumblechatter during the workout with less cadence. The 3 man grinder with the push group running around the field did exactly that.
Station 1 – AMRAP
- Shoulder Taps
- Alternating Side Squats
- Bonnie Blairs
- Ranger Merkins
Station 2 – AMRAP
- Monkey Humpers (Sasquash staple)
- Chuck Norris Merkins
- Wojo Squats
- Carolina Dry Docks
Station 3 – AMRAP
- Dips
- AirSquats
- Bench Merkins
- Jumping Lunges
Before long, I was yelling OMAHA. Most groups only were able to complete 2-3 exercises at each station.
Rancid style American Hammers took us home as we were out of time.
CoT
I wore a shirt that read “Love > Cancer” in light of National Punctuation Day. It was a friendly reminder that we all need to make sure that we are double checking our punctuation as we communicate via text or email. Meaning and understanding can change quickly without proper punctuation. The ole saying “measure twice, cut once” is a great motto to live by especially in such a high pace “GSD” world we live in.
LPC led us out in prayer as he asked the Sky Q to look over all of us.
Aye!
