12 PAX arrived to receive the welcome and disclaimer.

We stayed right in the parking lot for Warm-a-rama:

15 IC SSH, 15 IC Tappy Taps, 15 IC Imperial Walkers, and 15 IC Cherry Pickers.

We proceeded to the end of the football field to prepare for the Iron Pax inspired beatdown.

YHC apologized to any PAX who had already completes this week’s IPC and told anyone that hasn’t yet, to use this beatdown as a warm up for it.

The beatdown consisted of 100 reps of 8 different exercises with a lap around the track between each exercise.

  • Merkins
  • LBC’s
  • Squats
  • Flutter Kicks
  • Calf Raises
  • Freddy Mercury’s
  • Monkey Humpers
  • Low Dolly’s

In the end about half the PAX complete the entire sequence which totaled 800 reps and 2 miles of running.

There was a fair amount of mumblechatter during the beatdown, but all got better.

“Omaha” was called and the PAX moseyed back to the shovel flags.

2 rounds of  Rancid Style American Hammers.

Circle of Trust:

  • Announcements: First Friday lunch today at Inner Rail at 11:30, Rollbar has a 24 hour ruck coming up to promote fundraising for JDRF – Please join him if you can for part of it, Wentworth announced there are many 3rd F opportunities coming up
  • COT: I’ve been listening to and reading a lot about Stoicism lately and one saying in Stoicism is Memento Mori. Seneca puts it like this, “Don’t think about death as something that happens in the far off distant future, death is happening right now. the time that passes belongs to death and can no longer be yours.”

In today’s terms a little more, “If a neighbor stole a piece of your property or damaged something you owned, you’d be mad and try to get it back, but yet we let people steal our time all the time. This is the one thing we can’t get back. The even crazier thing is we, ourselves, waste our own time.”

Carpe Diem
