26 HIMs joined me for Q School at The Danger Zone on a cool Wednesday Morning…you could taste football in the air.  The PAX again was a mixed bag with a number of new F3 guys including Sight Q Gobbler, Chernobyl, Echo, Haggas, Rooney, Flowers, Fenney, Baby Shark, Hu Hut, Animal House, Shiplap, Zorro, Fun Dip, Arch, Levy, Michelin, Borat, Maaco, Veggie Tails, Iron Maiden, Schnitzel “Respect”, Soup, Double Dip, Kickstand, Schrute and Khakis

I welcomed the PAX to F3 Q School, I introduced myself and I took a deep breath – to be honest I am always nervous when I Q and even more so when I’m the “teacher” at for Q School.

F3 Stands for Fitness Fellowship and Faith.  I went slowly and purposefully through the 5 Core Principles,  the Mission Statement, the Credo, and Disclaimer.  I reemphasized that these are to be said at all workouts and there should be no exceptions.  This is NOT the Khakis way this is the F3 way.  I informed them this would be a beatdown with some tips on Qing a workout whether it was you first time and 10th time.  I also through in some history of F3 including the jargon in our Lexicon and Exicon.

We moseyed from the parking lot to midfield for a very short warmarma and then it was off to The Thang (see attached).  While we mosey from cone to cone the PAX chanted the following “The next exercise is, starting position move, EXERCISE – The next exercise is, starting position move, EXERCISE” this was repeated over and over until we reached the next cone.  While doing SSH the class was given a “Pop Quiz” with various members called on … a wrong answer resulted in 2 or more Burpees for everyone…I think the entire PAX learned something including myself.  We unfortunately did not have time to get to the Potpourri Pop Quick which included some Sarpy nuggets.  There were 3 exercises at each stop and various members of the PAX where asked to lead the exercise and they all crushed it.  I am confident they will be ready when called on again.

After all 4 were completed we rinsed and repeated and we actually were able to get to the second round of station 1 and 2.  I finally called Omaha and we mosey back to mid-field for a shortened 6MOM.  It consisted of a round of LBC’s and finishing with Rancid Style American Hammers.

Namarama was completed and announcements given.

My COT was short.  I shared with the PAX the anger and frustration I had Saturday afternoon on I-80 heading West around 2:00.  I was pissed that I might not make it to my brother’s game on time for the kickoff.  I found out Monday morning why traffic was back up and caused “MY” delay it as due to the car accident that tragically took the life of Mark Kaipust and his son Taylor (a friend of many).  I just stood there for a second and my selfishness and lack of patience made me physically ill after I heard this.  You just never know what someone else is dealing with or going through.  Be kind.  Just be kind.  I tell my son he is beautiful and the only thing better than being beautiful would be to be beautiful and smart and the only thing better than being beautiful and smart would be to be beautiful smart and kind … just be kind it’s free to give and pays for more than you will ever know.  Be kind.  Finally I briefly shared my story of a Sad Clown and how it isn’t always easy to see those suffering and needing help.

Gobbler prayed us out.

Have a great day Khakis
