GoldenSpike 6mAO | Burke field | 70 deg
PAX: Kielbasa, Doll Face, Super Tasty, Flowers, Vandelay, Tug Boat, Waterboy, Wentworth, MotherGoose, Tuner, Black Flag, Room Service, Super Nasty, Rollbar, Tony Hawk, Doppler, Z-bo, Golden Pike, Skipper.
Bloodshot met a fox, an actual fox, on the north end zone while setting up the field. We locked eyes with a mutual respect. I knew I had to abandon the plan to chase chickens on the field and the fox new it had to watch from the east hill. Bloodshot then welcomed the PAX and with no FNGs present, recited the 5 core principles, mission statement, and disclaimer. We moseyed around the track before we circled up at the goal line for warmarama.
Lunge walk 20 Yds and back pedal back x2
Bear crawl 11s 20 yards
1 Monkey Humpers to 10 Bonnie Blair’s
4 corners with F3 deck of cards: reps are all 20 (20 yards, 20 sec planks)
4 PAX pick a card and lead that exercise
Group 1 drew the burpee card and seemingly every combination of exhausting exercises. The cards have no prejudice. Yet mumblechatter for their luck was heard. Omaha was called at 6:14.

Prayers for Doll Face’s friend Greg
My 4 year old son is at a stage when he is struggling to be heard. It takes him a little longer to verbalize his thoughts, and his sister talks circles around him. I’m always trying to let him and his sister know that it’s his turn to talk and We all are listening to him.
It got me to thinking about the art of listening and here are a few nice quotes I found:
“One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say.” –Bryant H. McGill
“Friends are those rare people who ask how we are, and then wait to hear the answer.” –Ed Cunningham
“Listening is being able to be changed by the other person.” –Alan Alda
“Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. The friends who listen to us are the ones we move toward. When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand.” –Karl A. Menniger
Listening takes practice and I sometimes am reminded at work and home to refine that art.
So practice listening today gentlemen- and have an awesome Friday. AYE
