May 19th, 2021 | The Danger Zone | Papillion South High | Cloudy/misting 64 degrees
21 Pax: Zorro, Levy, Swinger, Ear Tag, Ferdinand, Haggis, Feeney, Rooney, Soda Pop, Double Dip, KOA, Arch, Schrute, Baby Shark, Trench, Pea Soup, Belding, Jean Claude, Tony the Tiger, Swiper, Gobbler.
The PAX gathered in the parking lot on the east side of the field after 10 of them came galloping out of the darkness like gazelles. Damn 4 mile prerun, at 4:40AM. The mission statement was made, the 5 core principles were stated, the disclaimer was made, and then Huffy told them to move out.
Warm O’ Rama
- 800 meter run, then circled up.
- SSHx 20
- Imperial Walkers x 20
- Sun Gods x 20
- Tappy Taps x 10
- Windmills x 10
- Copperhead Squats x 10
Huffy had the PAX line up on the end zone, and told them they’ll be choosing their own exercises for the prethang. Ran to the 10 yard line, had to do 10 of their exercise and then back to the endzone. Plank for the six. When everyone was back, ran to the 20 yard and everyone did their own 20 reps of the exercise of their choosing. So on and so forth until we got done with the 50 yard line. Did one more set, with everyone doing 10 burpees on the opposite 40 yard and then back.
Huffy had the PAX partner up, and then were sent to a cone. The cones made up a large square on the top sides of the spectator staircases (one on each corner of the stadium). At each cone, there were 3 exercises that needed to be completed: 10 werkins, 15 LBCs, 20 Apollo Ohnos. They then ran down the stairs, and got to choose how to get to the other side and run up the stairs. They could take the long way around the track, the short way around the track, or straight across the field. It was nice to see guys changing up their path of choice, and sprinting the curve, or broad jumping across the field. Rinse and repeat until Omaha was called. About 3 miles were covered during this workout*
6MOM– Huffy Ten Speeds, Ski-abs, gas pumpers, and ended with American Hammers.
Announcements/Prayers: June 11/12 Foundation fundraiser event. Jean Claude talked so much, I don’t remember what he all said. But check slack for more info. Run at Lake Flanagin. Check Slack. Prayers for the missing Bellevue boy.
COT: I just started watching Ted Lasso last night. He made a comment that I loved so much I reworked my Q today. “If you’re comfortable while you’re doing it, you’re probably doing it wrong.” We get up early to post for F3, so we might as well put in the work while there. Get out of your comfort zone and go harder.
