QIC — Cheap Seats

Cheap Seats welcomed 15 HIM to the Oracle on a beautiful Saturday morning.  Gave the mission statement, disclaimer and Credo.

The PAX performed a small mosey to the parking lot across the street at the West Dodge Medical Plaza to do warm –a-rama.

Warm-A-Rama

A round of calisthenics was performed in the parking lot.  High Knees, butt kicks, Karaoke, and Skips

Side Straddle Hop — 20 IC

Tappy Taps — 12 IC

Tator Taps – 12 IC

Windmills — 10 IC

Pre-Thang (Merkin Mile):  The PAX moseyed around the large 1-mile loop around the office complex and completed 3 stops along the way to complete a round of 3 exercise merkins.  The first stop was about a quarter mile and the PAX completed 10 diamond merkins, 10 Chuck Norris merkins and 10 regular merkins.  We then moseyed another quarter mile and completed 15 diamond, 15 Chuck Norris and 15 regular merkins.  We then moseyed another quarter mile and completed 20 diamond, 20 Chuck Norris and 20 regular merkins.

Second Pre Thang – The PAX ended their one merkinmile at West Dodge Plaza to complete the second pre-thang.  This HIM picked a partner to complete a round of 3 leg exercises.  The first partner would complete 10 Bobby Hurley’s, 10 Lunges and 10 copperhead squats while the other partner would backward run up a hill and then regular run down the hill until partner one had completed the 3 leg exercises.  They would then switch positions.  They would repeat this process with a round of 15 reps per exercise and then 20.

Cheap Seats knew this work out was going well when Wentworth made the comment that his legs were on fire!  This was a successful workout : )

Thang: The PAX then moseyed to the basketball courts north of the school.  In an attempt to relive some of his old college basketball workouts Cheap Seats made the PAX each shoot 2 free throws while the other PAX members were wall sitting on the north school wall.  The goal was to make as many free throws as possible.  For every made free throw the PAX would get a 10 second break.  For every missed free throw the PAX would have to do 10 donkey kicks.  The free throw shooter and rebounder would have to do 7 Burpees if a free throw was missed.

I knew this would be a challenge due to the work we put into the pre-thang but this was BAD…. very very BAD!  The PAX were able to make 2 out of 18 free throws (not good).  Thank you Huffy and Roll Bar for making the two lone free throws.  Nonetheless the beat down was good one given the amount of misses we had.

Between each free throw shooter, the PAX would run from one sideline to the other.

6MOM

To our surprise we were greeted by 2 Ruckers (Folsom and Safe Ride) coming in from their ruck and they decided to join us for 6MOM.  Thanks for joining boys.

Cheap Seats led the PAX with 20 heals to heaven, 20 Rosilitas, and 20 box cutters

Ice T led us with 20 LBC’s IC

Huffy led us with 20 Freddy’s IC

Finished with American Hammers Rancid style.  Each PAX member completed 1 before passing it on and we completed 17 Hammers.

I explained to the group all the guys that have been vulnerable and need prayers.  We discussed that we all have enemies or people that don’t treat us well.  I explained to them that we all need to think and pray for our enemies and explained to the PAX that one of my favorite bible verses is below

Matthew 5:44 

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you!

One of the hardest things to do is care for those that hurt us, challenged the PAX to think about people in their lives that they should pray for that we would consider enemies.
