At promptly 5:15, the Brothers Burke welcomed everyone to their favorite holiday by way of a beatdown. Lucky started off by welcoming everyone, reminded everyone of the 3 F’s, welcomed one FNG that ended up going to the #Respect workout. Gobbler picked it up from there and stated that we are not professionals, and F3’s 5 core values—free, held outdoors, open to all men, lead in a rotating basis by our peers, and end in a circle of trust.

PAX numbered off into two groups. Group 1 went with Gobbler to the north side of mall. Group 2 went with Lucky to the bottom of the final rose. Each group was accompanied by a stereo and an Irish playlist to help get everyone in the St. Paddy’s Day spirit.

COT• St. Patrick was not Irish. He was enslaved in Ireland. He then escaped, went back to mainland Europe, and returned to help the people who enslaved him. Today’s workout was designed around that idea. We ran hills, knew the suck that awaited at each station, then went back into it. Much like St. Patrick, we confronted what scared us head on today. • There is another message of forgiveness in St. Patrick’s actions. Forgiving the people that enslaved you, just to return in attempt to spread love and save the people of Ireland. As Gandhi stated, “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” • A traditional Irish Blessing was recited:

May the road rise to meet you;

Maty the wind blow at your back

May the sun shine warmly on your face;

May the rains fall softly on your fields.

And until we meet again, may Gold hold you in the palm of his hand.

Gobbler lead us out in Prayer.
