Thang: Pacer Test
A half mile Mosey to the back lot between the baseball fields is had.
A 20 m Pacer test is set up for the group. Also known as the beep test.
A cadence is played that gets faster as you go. PAX member must run between lines 20 m apart before each beep.
If you make 2 mistakes by not getting to the line before the beep then your test is over.
The men ran their hardest. Doesn’t take long for the lungs to say no more with that temp, the dark icy parking lot and with lots of layers on. 70 laps was champion. Believe it was Saluki or Zorro. I know it wasn’t me.
After a short break the PAX hold up what is expected from the sandlot and hit a 2 mile mosey around downtown papio, through the park and meet back at the shovel flags.

“Test yourself so that you may fail, because from failure growth and learning can occur.” Recently we did an activity where you listed defining moments in your life at work. Many people had the standard children being born, graduation from college or marriage. All great things. I however noticed that not many people had a failure as one. I did, I failed out of college the first time and that failure has driven me to do more since. Don’t be afraid to try things or test yourself from fear of failure. And better yet if you do well on the test then you can set new limits.
