TCLAPS were given to Ponzi for showing up early for the beatdown. Safe Ride checked for any new guys (none) and then started today’s grinding workout.

The PAX moseyed from the shovel flags to the grotto.  Once at the location, the following exercises were performed:

THE THANG

The PAX stayed at creepy corner for the Thang which would be a 2-man grinder.  The PAX paired up and were instructed that one man would run north up the sidewalk towards UNO’s campus to an orange cone Safe Ride had previously placed and then back down.  While that man was running the other member of the 2-man grinder performed cumulative exercises.  Rinse and Repeat if necessary.  The exercises were as follows:

            75 Merkins

            125 Squats

            100 Shoulder Touches IC

            100 Big Boys

            75 Werkins

            100 Lunges

            100 SSH IC

            75 Low Dollies

Safe Ride called Omaha at 6:05am and the PAX moseyed back to the shovel flags.

POST-THANG:

Safe Ride told the PAX he’s doing a Facebook challenge to raise awareness for mental health. Thousnads die every year from suicide This challeneg will hopefully eliminate the stigma about mental health and encourage people to talk about their struggles. Thus, preventing suicide and other harmful acts caused by mental illness. The challenge is to do 25 push-ups (Merkins) for 25 straight days. So, Safe Ride had the PAX joint him this morning.

MOM:

The following exercises were performed:

  1. LBCs
  2. Freddy Mercuries
  3. American Hammers Rancid style.

COT:

Safe Ride read the definition of “grind” from Merriam-Webster’s dictionary: As an intransitive verb it means to become pulverized, polished, or sharpened by friction.  Safe Ride heard the quote “iron sharpens iron” since joining F3.  In olden days, one iron blade was used to sharpen another blade until both became more effective tools.  We can see that connection in F3 and our lives.  We can sharpen our physical abilities by participating in these workouts.  To become truly sharpened, however, we need other iron blades.  Thus, we must use the 2nd and 3rd F iron blades in our lives.  For me, I need the fellowship and faith.  I need my fellow HIM to pick me up, to encourage me, to push me further.  I encourage all of you to keep grinding, keep sharpening your iron blades, and live all three Fs.  Aye!
