Your Humble Correspondent (YHC) greeted the PAX in the gloom of hump day. Six PAX pre-rucked and 11 more PAX joined for the second week of Top Rope. After sharing the F3 Mission Statement, Principles and disclaimer, the PAX moseyed eastward up the frontage road.

SSH X 20 IC | Hillbillies x 15 IC | Crab Cakes x 12 IC | Groiners x 15 | Turkish Get-ups x 8 each side

PAX continued to mosey eastward through the business park. PAX stopped at a vacant building with a great parking lot meant for the gloom. We split into the two groups and completed Plank Hurdles across the front of the parking lot – approximately 50 yards. When finished the PAX moseyed to the Northwest corner of the parking lot to being the THANG. The parking lot has a strategic incline which is perfect for running laps.

The PAX were instructed to complete a 10-rep ladder workout. They began with 9 Merkins and 1 Squat Jump. Each station was in opposite corners of the parking lot. The PAX completed the ladder to mid-way point before YHC called “Omaha.”

The long mosey to the shovel flag included one stop for MerkinMania.
Diamond Merkins x 10 | Werkins x 10 | Ranger Merkins x 10 | Crucible (or Seal) Merkins x 10

PAX moseyed to shovel flag for 6MOM:

Ikigai (uh-KEY-GAH-ee) is the Japanese word for “what gets you out of bed in the morning.” It is that sense you have when you wake up in the morning and know that this day matters, that there are new experiences to be had, that we have work to do and a contribution to make. Your IKIGAI is your reason for being.

For me, my ikigai was discovered when I realized that F3 wasn’t just a workout. At one time, I was one of the PAX who finished the workout and after the COT walked directly to my car. I never attended Coffeeteria or leaned into the Second and Third F. One day, a PAX member confronted me after I began attending a Q SOURCE. He said, “you have changed.” “When I first met you, I didn’t think you liked me.” “Now, that you attend coffee, you are a different person.”

Snooki was the PAX member and he expressed great courage to tell me that story. Sometimes, you don’t see the change in your life until someone points it out. I realized that F3 was not just a workout. There is something more going on here….you just have to open yourself up to it.

With that, I closed in prayer.

Grace & Peace,

Wait Time
