YHC welcomed the PAX on a very cold morning. After sharing the F3 mission statement, disclaimer and principles the workout theme was shared – The Last Mile. The theme was taken from a concept used in supply chain and telecommunications. For those industries, the last mile is the most difficult and costliest portion of the process. Today’s workout will include the “The LAST MILE,”

The PAX moseyed toward the lake for Warmarama.

SSH x 20 IC | Shoulder Taps x 15 IC | Imperial Walkers x 15 IC | Dirty Dogs x 12 IC

PAX quickly wrapped up Warmarama and continued around the lake. PAX stopped at the lake’s dam: ATMS: Alternating Shoulder Taps x 8 IC | Tempo Merkins x 8 IC | Merkins x 10 (2 rounds)

PAX ran across the dam to the east side of the lake:
Squats x 15 | Hydraulic Squats x 15 IC | Side Lunges x 15 (each leg) – (2 rounds)

PAX moseyed to the playground on the east side of the lake:
CAPTAIN THORS: Big Boy Sit Up (1): American Hammer (4). We completed four rounds until we finished with 4 BB Situps and 20 American Hammers. (CROWDPLEASER).

PAX moseyed to F Street (near the soccer field):
CLOCK MERKINS: Shout out to Specimen, the originator of the clock merkins. We did 8 reps at 12 o’clock – 3 o’clock – 6 o’clock and 9 o’ clock. (2 rounds)

PAX moseyed to the basketball court at Copper Field Park:
STEINL: PLANK 30 sec | Chilcutt 30 sec | Merkins x 10 | Amazing Spiderman (r) x 10 | Merkins x 10 | PLANK 30 sec | Chilcutt 30 sec | Merkins x 10 | Amazing Spiderman (r) x 10 | Merkins x 10

PAX moseyed to the shovel flag. With a demanding last mile and time constraint, the PAX did not complete 6 MOM. PAX ran about 2.3 miles.

GIRLS INC EVENT. Two-step supports Girls Inc and informed the PAX that Girls Inc is holding an event on March 27. The event is a fund-raiser specifically targeted at men and their daughters. Families are welcome. Info can be found on Twitter or Slack.
TAP THAT VEIN BLOOD DRIVE. There is still time to register. Goal is 25 people. Ms are invited to join PAX. February 28 at the Nebraska Blood Bank.

RICO’s Father. Surgery was successful and Rico’s dad is recovering at home.
No Doze. Recovering from knee surgery.
Tonight Show. Having medical procedure later in the day.

YHC acknowledged the PAX for surviving the Last Mile. Earlier in the week, a coworker shared this concept. YHC immediately associated the Last Mile with the F3Omaha PAX. For telecommunications companies or supply chain companies, it is the final delivery of the product or technology that becomes the most expensive and most challenging aspect of the value stream. Running telephone lines from the street pole to the house was once the most expensive portion of supplying phone service to our homes. We all have our struggles – whether it is an F3Omaha beatdown or a personal challenge. When overcoming the challenge, it often requires the most energy and most attention during the final stages of the challenge. YHC encouraged the PAX to stay the course and prepare for the LAST MILE.

YHC prayed us out.

Grace & Peace,

Wait Time
