Pre-Thang – Poinsettia Push up jam

To Jingle Bells by Skid Row do a push up every time they say Jingle Bells

Bubbles gave the instruction for the Thang, and was quickly heckled by Ponzi for explaining too much. But Ponzi should have let Bubbles finish, due to the fact, many PAX members must have never heard the song “Twelve Days of Christmas”, and messed up the order of the exercises immediately. Everything worked out though, and no matter if you did it wrong or right, a serious beatdown was had by all.

The PAX moseyed to the track to perform the Thang.

PAX split up into groups of two and complete the following exercises. Perform first exercise, then first and second, then first, second, and third. Then you and your partner run around the track once. Upon return to the starting point, you will perform first, second, third, and fourth exercise. Then perform first, second, third, fourth, and fifth exercise. Then perform first through sixth exercise. At the conclusion of the sixth exercise, run another lap. Upon return perform exercise one through seven, one through eight, and one through nine, then run another lap. Upon return perform exercise one through ten, one through eleven, and one through twelve, finish by running one last lap. If you get done before Omaha is called, rinse and repeat. Merry Christmas!!!

Tonight Show led the COT starting with this passage.

Luke 2:7

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloth and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

The shepherds were normal men not unlike us.  They were not kings, pharaohs, or rulers. Normal men who experienced something miraculous.  The heralding of the moment when God intervened in this world in an unimaginable way. In this intervention he brought “Good news” and “Great Joy”  Whatever your struggles today, and they are very real, remember that the message of Christmas is that God came to create a better way if we will just let our lives be changed by Him and the birth of the Savior.

“It is impossible to conceive how different things would have turned out if that birth had not happened whenever, wherever, however it did… for millions of people who have lived since, the birth of Jesus made possible not just a new way of understanding life but a new way of living it.  It is a truth that, for twenty centuries, there have been untold numbers of men and women who, in untold numbers of ways, have been so grasped by the child who was born, so caught up in the message he taught and the life he lived, that they have found themselves profoundly changed by their relationship with him.” – Frederick Buechner

The Plague took us out in prayer.

Merry Christmas, Aye!
