The Horsetrack Backblast: Celebrating the Flux Capacitor

11/08/2018, THE HORSETRACK AO – Stinson Park

PAX: 40 Grit, Cyclone, Folsom, Bubba Gump & Biggie Smalls

Q: Biggie Smalls

Meeting at The Stage, while flurries turned to flakes of the snow, five PAX “enjoyed” the nonsense that Biggie cooked up. The “About Us” and “Disclaimer” pages were served up, and then it was go time.

WARM-A-RAMA

  • Side Straddle Hops, 20
  • Sun Gods, 15/side
  • Abe Vigodas, 10
  • String Rippers, 10
  • Side to Side String Rippers, 10
  • Monkey Humpers, 25

THE THANG

November 5, 1955, Doctor Emmet Brown fell, hitting his head. When he came to, he had a vision of what he called the “Flux Capacitor”.

It, with a vehicle traveling 88 mph, allows us to time travel; to celebrate, we will be partnering for 88 reps (one runs the hill, one exercises):

  • Upsidedown Merkins
  • Shoulder Press
  • Plank Row
  • Hammer Curls
  • Shrugs
  • Wall Sit Shoulder Press
  • Lawnmower Starts
  • Lunges
  • Upright Rows
  • … Rinse & Repeat if necessary

PAX completed a full round, then ran the hill one last time, all together, in solidarity.

MOM

Once again, just one exercise for MOM: Captain Thor

Various [x] counts throughout, much grumbling too; but, we made it to 10:40, BOOM.

CIRCLE OF TRUST

Announcement reminders:

  • This Sunday’s Second F opportunity (Creighton Game), thanks to Tater Tot
  • This Sunday’s community event, in Waffle House’s hood

Prayer Request:

  • Folsom asked that we keep a young man named Wyatt in our prayers, going through his second bout of cancer, facing surgery on 11/16.

In keeping with the theme, Biggie offered the following motivational, a quote from Doc Brown:

Your future hasn’t been written yet. No one’s has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one.

Closed with prayer, for young Wyatt.
